Climate Committee

Climate Committee Needs You

As the Climate Emergency becomes more urgent each day, we as Unitarian Universalists must continue to push forward both locally and globally with joint efforts to work to curb the causes and issues of Climate Change.

Small and large projects will be the task of the new Climate Committee here at UUSC. If you are interested, please join us Thursday 1/16 at 2pm for our first gathering, a Zoom meeting, where we’ll discuss our thoughts and goals for 2025 during the Committee’s inaugural year. For more details message Brent or see him after services on Sunday.

On Sunday, September 29, our congregation will take part in a continent-wide UU Climate Justice Revival, “Reimagine Together." Reflections, readings, messages, and music will lead us through our worship time, concluding after the service with the initial meeting of the UUCSC Climate Committee. Based on decades of UU environmental principles and leadership, the Revival envisions that together, we can move past systems and cultures of extraction to usher in a new era with love and justice at the center of our climate actions.  If you would like to participate in the committee or have questions, please contact Brent Kado
