UUCSC Choir Spring Concert

She Writes, We Sing: A Choral Celebration of Women Composers

Join us on Mother's Day Weekend, Saturday May 10th at  7pm for an inspirational evening filled with music that celebrates the music of several outstanding women composers.

The concert will feature Darius Campo, "the worlds most recorded musician" on his violin, joined by 3 other string players, our choir and Brian McConnell under the direction of John Bergquist for a performance of an excerpt of Amy Beach's Grand Mass in E flat Major. This was the first choral-orchestral mass published by a woman.

The concert will also feature a collaboration with ORIM, our community choir, directed by Anthony Concepcion.

There will be virtual guest appearances by two of our featured composers.

Tickets are available now, $20 in advance, $25 regular seating, and a limited number of free-of-charge tickets will also be offered on a needs basis.
