Nominating Committee

Heather joined UUCSC in 1990. She has been a member of the choir consistently since 1991, only taking off 6 weeks from rehearsals to have a baby. Within the first few years of membership, Heather joined the Nominating Committee and held several positions on the Board of Directors, including President. Heather met her husband, Joe, at UUCSC, and they were
married in this church. A dual American/Canadian citizen, Heather moved to Los Angeles in 1988 to attend acting school and never left. Heather spend the first 25 years of her career as a
newspaper reporter and copy editor. She returned to school to get her Master’s of Science in Communication Disorders when their daughter, Faith, was 4, and has been a speech-language
pathologist for nine years. Faith is now 22 and recently graduated from the University of British Columbia. Heather is looking forward to serving on the Nominating Committee for the third time, and getting to know some of the newer members and leading them toward church leadership.
