“Salutations!” said the voice.
Wilbur jumped to his feet. “Salu-what?” he cried.
“Salutations!” repeated the voice. “What are they, and where are you?” screamed Wilbur. “Please, please, tell me where you are. And what are salutations?”
“Salutations are greetings,” said the voice. “When I say ‘salutations,’ it’s just my fancy way of saying hello or good morning.”

Salutations! And welcome to the new Religious Exploration blog!
I’m so happy to be able to supplement our regular Religious Exploration programs with this blog space. It’s my hope that this space will prove useful to the members of our community, as well as to those who find us through our website.

Terrific website! (See what I did there?)
The goal of this blog will be to share information, knowledge, and resources that help all our members and the wider community respond to the call of lifelong learning intrinsic to most any spiritual worldview. This call is deeply embedded in Unitarian Universalism, which asks us to engage in every element of our spiritual and religious life with a critical, discerning awareness.
Each week, we will supplement the RE activities and the message of our Sunday Service with additional materials and resources. Those with children, youth, and teens in our programs will find support for family engagement and ongoing conversation, including resources like books, videos, articles, etc. You can see our first post of this type here.
We will also have guest blogs on various topics. Some of these will be by members of our immediate community, while others will be from members of the wider community who may be able to speak to particular issues, ideas, or knowledge. In fact, we have an upcoming guest blog from our own Antoinette Scully, who runs the website Black and Bookish.
See you here again soon!
