The Rainbow Room
Welcome to the Rainbow Room
Unitarian Universalist Church of Studio City welcomes 3-5 year olds to our Religious Exploration Program. In the rainbow we are beginning to explore our 7 principles. Here they are:
1. Each person is important. - -We do this by validating everyone's opinion, we create friendships and learn together.
2. Be kind in all you do. --Everyday we talk about how we can apply our principles. During our circle time, after our chalice poem, we talk about what we each do when we are apart, we listen to each other with respect and kindness.
3. We’re free to learn together. -- At the end of Circle Time we all decide together on activities that we can do that day.
4. We search for what is true. -- We’re 4 year olds. We do this naturally. But thanks for supporting us.
5. All people need a voice. --We let our voices be heard through our creativity. We paint, cut and paste, model clay and playdough.
6. Build a fair and peaceful world. --We learn about peace in our relationships with each other. We play together and when there is a problem or disagreement we learn problem solving
techniques and talk about it and work things out.
7. We care for Earth’s lifeboat. -- We clean up after ourselves.
