Specialty Dinners February 25 - May 26
Get ready for the most wonderful time of your life...
Every year we have what we call our Specialty Dinner Series. Here's how it works...
We sign up as many couples as possible to take part in this series which consists of a dinner at someone's home on the last Saturday of February, March, April & May. ("Couples" are any two people who agree to get together and cook and serve one meal, then be guests at three other meals in other people's homes.) The host couple bears the cost of serving one meal for 8 people, and the guests pay $25 per person to the church as a fundraiser.
If you don't want to cook, you can sign up as an alternate and only fill in when available when a regular guest cannot make it to a meal. Sign up ASAP with Sherrie Lucas at casa.lucas@verizon.net or Jeannie Mills rvjmills@sbcglobal.net.

On March 4th, our service will feature Bedtime Purim Story, a fun play by Ron Solomon about the origin of the traditional festive Jewish holiday. Everyone – young, old, big, small, shy or bold – is welcome to join in the spirit of the day and take a role in the show. To do so, please see Tony Soltis.
Anapana Meditation Informational Meeting Sunday, March 11, 11:30 am
Vipassana comes from the Buddhist tradition and means, "to see things as they are." Anapana Meditation is the first step in a Vipassana Meditation practice, and will be taught to children by longtime UU Studio City member Phyllis Moss and her team of trained Vipassana practitioners.
This is a gentle, non-sectarian approach to meditation that stills the mind and follows the breath. Such a wonderful tool for growing kids to have!
This program is free of charge to students.
We will have an informational meeting for interested families on Sunday, March 11 at 11:30am in the Big Room. Please contact Phyllis Moss if you have any questions: phyllis.moss@gmail.com.
