Interim Treasurer
Board of Trustees

Christine Levine

Christine is a second-generation Californian. She has been a member of UUCSC since 2007. During her time here, she has served on the Board of Directors once before, was a long-time member and one-time chair of the Social Action Committee, has served on the Personnel Committee, led a small group ministry focused on Voluntary Simplicity, staffed the Toddler and Rainbow rooms on Sunday’s and coordinated the RE Second Sunday Sandwich project.

Currently she volunteers on the Kitchen Committee and continues to participate in the Second Sunday Sandwich project. The early part of her career was spent in advertising and marketing where she promoted everything from medical equipment to pipes and cigars. For the later part of her career, she had happily transitioned into fundraising for a local blind services organization, Braille Institute. Now in retirement Christine loves volunteering at Descanso Gardens as a docent for various special exhibits and as a train conductor on their miniature railroad. She feels so blessed to be able to spend two or three days a week helping people find peace and joy in such beautiful surroundings.

Christine has two grown children, Claire and Eitan, and two teenage grandsons who fortunately all live near by. In fact, her two grandsons, Lucas and Garrett, came to church with their Grammy every Sunday for several years where they were part of our RE program.
