Governance & Organization
Our church is overseen by a Board of Trustees, a governing body that acts in the name of the congregation but takes its direction from the Bylaws and Rules of the UUA (see below) as well as input from the congregation. Members of the Board are elected by the congregation and serve for two years. Individual programs are managed by action committees organized into two councils—a program council and an administrative council.
We are a member of the national Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations (UUA). The Association hosts an annual General Assembly and provides training for ministers, workshops for lay leaders, and structures for social action. We are also a member of the Pacific Southwest District of the UUA.
